2005-11-11 [deus-ex-machina]: Awesome. Just wondering, in case.
2006-01-07 [Amras Oronra]: Is there someone that has done any study around Fear? I love to hear if so!!!

2006-01-07 [Orgasmo]: i've studied human psychology. And have written a paper on phobia. If i can be of help?
2006-01-07 [Lavilia]: I think it's useful, at least for me, since I study medicins
2006-01-07 [Orgasmo]: yeh i'm doing pharmacy and it comes in handy
2006-01-13 [Amras Oronra]: Well What i Like to know are the both sides of fear:the psychiatry and biology aspects... it is for a study I have to make for school.
2006-01-13 [Orgasmo]: There is a lot to mention but some points @Fight and flight mechanism of the central nervous system @ Neurotransmitt
2006-01-16 [Amras Oronra]: Presisely, but you can look at the other side like that a fear Disorder is most of all a Psycholocial problem and has nothing to do with the biological side... so there is no How from the biological side
2006-01-16 [Lavilia]: No but problems with fear are learning processes, or things that go wrong in the mind. And the things that go wrong in the brain, are biological processes.
2006-01-16 [Amras Oronra]: True, but fear is also something from the brains.. here where I live(Holland) was not long ago a article in the paper about: that they had removed something out of the brains of a mouse and that the effect was that the mouse had become completely Fearless!
2006-01-16 [Orgasmo]: hence biological, they removed the thalmus of petuitry gland to loosen stimulation by neurotransmitt
2006-01-16 [Amras Oronra]: And it looks like it worked didn't it? :P
2006-01-16 [Orgasmo]: it does, but it isn't psychological its biological.
2006-01-16 [Amras Oronra]: That is what I said :) Fear is something that can be found in both... but we don't know for sure where the connection lays and how it reacts in different situations.
2006-01-17 [Lavilia]: behaviour also belongs to biology. At highschool I also had behaviour in biology classes
2006-01-25 [Phoxx]: Fear does have psychological factors. One is afraid of spiders, the other is not. That's part of your character and thus psychological. But the effects on the body and how it works is indeed biological. I think psychological behavior is always based on a biological foundation.
2006-01-25 [Amras Oronra]: I know very much Philosophers are gone disagree with you ;) But I think it is correct: psychological behavior is always based on a biological foundation.
2006-01-25 [Amras Oronra]: No wait not true what I said... I think that psychological behavior has a concection with biological foundations but is not always based on it!
